About Me

Hi everyone! My name is Sara Parrish and I am the owner of Sweeter Than SAP. In high school, I attended Adams County Tech Prep where I studied and received a certificate in Culinary Arts. In May of 2020, I received my associates degree in Baking & Pastry Arts from Johnson & Wales University. I continued my education at Johnson & Wales and received a bachelors degree in Baking & Pastry and Food Service Management in May of 2022. 

I started baking when I was really young. As I was growing up, I would teach myself how to make cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and other small pastries. In 2016, I established Sweeter Than SAP in hopes of one day opening a small bakery. I started out by baking for friends and family and it quickly grew from there. 

My dreams finally came true on August 12th when I opened a bakery in downtown Gettysburg, less than a block off of the square. I personally make all of the product daily. From cinnamon rolls and cupcakes, to cheesecakes and cookies, to brownies and coffee cake; it is all made from scratch ingredients, right here in the heart of the bakery. 

My dreams didn't simply stop at a storefront. It continues every day when I am able to put love and passion into products that create joy, happiness, and warmth for the local community and for those who come from all over the world. 

Fun Fact: The "SAP" in Sweeter Than SAP stands for Sara A. Parrish
